With a large-scale exposition, manufacturers and suppliers presented their latest innovative developments, technologies, equipment and product samples in all pavilions of the NEC “Uzexpocentre”, which is an increase of 35% compared to last year.
In total, the event was attended by over 370 companies from 26 countries. Over the course of 3 days of active work, the exhibition was visited by 6,994 industry professionals.
The Gold Sponsors of the exhibition were Air Products, a world leader in the production of industrial gases, and Lotte Rakhat, one of the largest manufacturers of confectionery products in Kazakhstan with more than 400 products, who presented their solutions and products at their stands.
The top 5 foreign countries included: China (116 companies), Russia (84 companies), Turkiye (23 companies), Germany (21 companies), and the Republic of Belarus (18 companies).
As part of the national pavilions, the Republic of Belarus and Germany presented their expositions, and companies from Austria, Indonesia, Pakistan, Russia, and Sri Lanka took part as collectively in the exhibition.
The national stand of the Republic of Belarus, consisting of 18 manufacturing companies, presented a wide range of meat and dairy products, canned fruits and vegetables, mayonnaise, sauces, and ketchups to the attention of visitors.
27 companies from the German national pavilion brought baking, refrigeration, confectionery, packaging, and meat processing equipment to the exhibition under the “Made in Germany” quality mark. Experts also introduced visitors to X-ray food inspection technologies, food heat treatment, PET lines, and food products.
Dairy and meat products, food flavours, flavouring additives, vegetables, fruits, aromatic collections of tea, coffee and much more were presented at the collective stands of Austria, Indonesia and Pakistan.
At the stand of the Sri Lanka Tea Council, thanks to the famous Ceylon tea each visitor dived into a unique world of aromas and tastes.
The collective participation the Russian Federation regions, consisting of 84 companies, demonstrated a wide range of equipment and finished food products.
China and Türkiye were remembered for a record number of participated companies reaching 116 and 23 respectively. Their stands featured equipment for the production of waffles, cheeses and sauces, confectionery products, packaging equipment, equipment for the production of dairy products, juices, yoghurts, baking equipment, as well as finished products.
This year there was a significant increase in the number of new participants: 30% of exhibitors were represented at the exhibition for the first time. This is direct evidence of the ever-growing interest in the food industry in Uzbekistan.
The pride of the exhibition were its regular participants, whose products are already well known in the local market: MULTIVAC PACKAGING, KROMEL, CANDY HOLDING, VINIKS, INDEX 6, BRESTMYASOMOLPROM CONCERN, EUROSNAB TECHNOLOGY, AROMA CLASSIC, PERILLA FOOD, ETC U-STAN, TM ERMAK, and others.
More than 30 domestic companies took part in the exhibition, which in turn will have a significant impact on the development of the industry.
On the first day of the exhibition, participants were treated to a topical discussion about advanced solutions in the food industry and agriculture, organised by Air Products. The discussion covered a number of important aspects, including innovative approaches to packaging and freezing as well as engineering solutions aimed at improving the efficiency of production processes.
The central element of UzFood was the specialised platform, the "Retail Centre”, within which direct negotiations took place between food manufacturers and representatives of the retail sector.
This year, 14 large retailers took part in the "Retail Centre", and marketplaces were also present for the first time, including Uzum Market, Sello!, and Wildberries.
In total, more than 1,000 meetings were organised between manufacturers and retailers, highlighting the importance and effectiveness of this platform for business relations and industry development.
Throughout the functioning period of the exhibition, UzFood has once again established its status as a universal platform for food industry specialists, presenting the full range of the production cycle, from agricultural land and farms to finished products, including the stages of processing, packaging, and storage.
